Memorial Day at Santa Monica Beach

Yesterday at Santa Monica Beach, CA,  there was a Memorial Day installation in remembrance of Soldiers and Civilians killed in the Iraq War.  "Below are a few photos".

The Backyard! - Inspired Garden Artistry Spring 2012

Couple of days ago, I showed you pictures of this home's front yard and now - below "are a few photos" of the backyard.

I love the fence,  the flower pots and the idea of not
having a lot of stuff on the deck.

  The color combination of the  deck, fence and
planters evoke a feeling of transquility

So beautiful!  The homeowners have 5 different levels
in their yard.  This is the lowest level

I'm so glad I "stumbled" upon this "garden tour".  

This event happens every other year.  Amazing!

"Inspired Garden Artistry" 2012 Tour

After an " Easy like Sunday Morning" (Lionel Richie) breakfast with the family; we took the children for a walk in the neighborhood.  OMG! "Inspired Garden Artistry Spring Garden Tour 2012 was happening just a few houses from us.  Yea!


This is how it works.  You pay $15.00 - $20.00 for a map of participating home gardens in the area.   You're able to walk-through and enjoy the gardens, landscapes and plant life at each home!  "Here are a few photos" of our participating neighbor's yard.

HAND EMBELLISHED DIAMANTE WEDDING SHOES!

The Shoe!  The Shoe!

My  friend "E" asked me decorate her wedding shoes.  I used Swarovski rhinestones, crystals and pearls.  Eighteen hours and many rhinestones and pearls later - the finished shoes were gorgeous; and she loved them! (the best part!)

"E" purchased the shoes from
 David's Bridal for about $49.00
They have many colors to choose from.
