L.A. County Walk to Defeat ALS in Honor of My Brother, Randell Brown

Yesterday, Sunday, October 19th, I participated in the Los Angeles County Walk to Defeat ALS.  The two mile walk was held at Exposition Park, here in Los Angeles.  Our family walked in honor of my Brother Randell, who past away from ALS this year (it brings tears to my eyes just typing this).

Several celebrities were at the event, including Renee Zellweger and Reese Witherspoon.

Below are "a few photos":

Easy DIY Halloween Decorations

I love decorating for the seasons.  Below are "a few photos" of Halloween ideas I sourced from the internet and my simple and easy to make decorations.

I have lots of trims, fabric and notions left over from Halloween workshops.  I cut triangles out of black and orange felt and mixed in fabric prints and solids.  In between the triangles I tie feathers, strips of contrasting fabric, etc.  These buntings can be made as long or short as you want.

 My front door.
On my front steps, I tied orange ribbon around the flower pot and used a black and white print fabric to tie a bow onto the lantern, purchased a pumpkin and walla!

Purchased these bags last year for less than 25 cents each.  Gave them to my   family, friends and neighbors.  They put a smile on everyone's face.

My Sister Tonya & Her Traveling Crew From Chicago, Shopping on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills

My Sister, Tonya, visited from Chicago along with her travel crew, Jovanna, Lydia, Sherri, Val and Michelle!  We spent the afternoon shopping and sight seeing on Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills.

I love the window dressings on Rodeo Drive. Dolce and Gabbana's store window stopped me in my tracks!  It was enchanting.  I felt like the print ad in my new W magazine had come to life in their window.

I took pictures of their store window, (they didn't come out very well from the setting sun's glare on the glass); but, take my word for it, the window was beautifully, magically done!  Below are "a few photos"

Thanks Tonya for letting big sis tag along.  I enjoyed my afternoon on Rodeo Drive with you and the traveling crew!

I'm looking forward to coming to Chicago soon.
XOXO.
