DIY Boy's Lego Birthday Party Ideas!

Lego was the theme for Mr. B's 8th birthday party!

Barbara Walden, Thank You!

I was at an event recently and met the fabulous Ms. Barbara Walden!

In 1968 Barbara Walden launced the first Black-owned cosmetics company whose products were aimed at Black women.  Her makeup became the first Black-owned line to be sold in department stores.  Ms. Walden was 83 years old on her last birthday!  Below are "a few photos":

Quick DIY Thank You Sign

This quick DIY thank you for the Nappywood appreciation party was made by covering the below yard sale frame with burlap.  The red stick-on letters were from the clearance section at Michaels.  A spot of glue was used to stick the letters to the burlap instead of peeling the backs of the letters and permanetly attaching them - they can be used again - the holidays are coming :).  

Finished sign was placed on the buffet table.

Designer Petro Montegos' Tribute to Michael Jackson

 Today is Michael Jackson's Birthday!  

Fashion designer, Petro Montegos celebrated with a fashion tribute to Machael.  The "Experience" fashion show was held in Petro's factory/showroom in downtown Los Angeles.  Below are "a few photos".
