Sunday, I attended the Twenty-Ninth Commemorative Concert in Honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Presented by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. andDelta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and hosted by my church, Trinity Baptist Church.
Featuring Guest Artist Prince Namatai Nyatanga, CAGO, DipABRSM, a nativ of Zimbabwe, is studing in the United States. O his numerous awards and successes, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the First Annual Conductor's Workshop with the former New York Philharmonic conductor Maurice Peress and Donald Portnoy. And in March 2014, Prince will be awarded his Associateship diploma in organ performance from the Royal College of Organists in London.

Also featured was Grace Ensemble. A choral group from Poly High School of Long Beach (Snoop Dog's High School). The multi-ethnic group is comprised of African American, Cambodian and Filipino freshmen to senior students. Lori Grace is the conductor.
There was also the combined voices of The Delta Sigma Theta Choraliers, Mrs. Danellen Jospeh, Director; The Alpha Kappa Alpha Chorus, Dr. Hansonia Caldwell-Harriford, Director; The Male Chorus of Los Angeles, Mr. Perry Hayes, Director. Perry Hayes, organ and piano; Carolyn Kimble-Singleton, piano; Hansonia Caldwell-Harriford, piano; Alpha Snell, piano.
The music was beautiful. I had a delighful evening. Thank you!!
